Ear Craft Music Welcomes Zach Onett

Ear Craft Music welcomes Zach Onett to our teaching staff! Zachary Onett began playing the piano in middle school because he wanted to sing pop songs and play classical music. His grandmother bought him a little electronic keyboard and soon after, all of his time and interest became enveloped by the instrument. He spent countless hours learning piece after piece. In high school, he continued to study classical music but he also played piano in the school’s jazz band. At around the same time, he began playing keyboards in rock bands of different genres. Zach has always enjoyed writing his own music. He’s a graduate of the University of New Hampshire School of Music where he studied classical piano and composition. In 2010 and 2011 he was a recipient of the Raitt-Wilson Scholarship for Piano Performance and the John Henry Hanhisalo Music Scholarship. He enjoys playing music that ranges in style from Jazz and Rock to Classical and Pop. In teaching, he strives to support his student’s individual creativity and love of music and is happy to provide lessons in the areas of piano performance and music theory/composition!
