Ibanez Amplification and Why You Should Care

Greetings everyone! We wanted to spend some time explaining some of the excellent features and tone provided by some of the Ibanez amps we have here in stock. If you play any style of guitar or bass, chances are one of these amps will please your ears. First up is the excellent Ibanez Tube Screamer amp. For those unfamiliar with this amp, it is a tube head making waves in the “Low Watt Tube Head” category that has been increasingly popular these days. One of the main features of the amp is its TS808 Tube Screamer circuit built right into the front of the amp. It is also powered by two 6V6 power tubes and 12ax7 preamp tubes, giving it 15W of sparkly clean tube tone. The TS808 will give rock and blues players enough overdrive for solos and dirty rhythm playing, but the foot switchable boost sends it over the top.
The next gem in the store is the unassuming Ibanez Promethean, a 1×10” bass combo amp that offers a lot of tonal flexibility and power in small, lightweight package. One useful feature of this amp is its modular design; the “head” comes out from the back! With the right cabinet configuration, this practice sized amp is capable of pounding out 500 watts of low end thump, with plenty of mids and top end for note clarity to balance it off. With that amount of power, your arms won’t believe your ears when you go to pick it up and bring it to the counter to buy it!
For the jazz guys and gals, Ibanez also offers the Wholetone amp, a throwback to the compact jazz amps of years past. You won’t have to be a “brute” to pick this one up, either! This little amp is begging to be played with a nice semi-hollow or full hollow body guitar.
There are plenty of other options here for the metal players as well, so if you are interested in a new sound, drop in or give us a call. We are happy to answer your questions and assist you in updating your rig!
